Now that your little one is 6 to 10 months (+ some days) old, he or she can begin to transition to the Lebenswert Stage 2 formula.
Preparation of this baby formula is quick and easy. Here is a step-by-step guide on how to prepare the baby formula in just easy steps.
About Lebenswert Stage 2 Baby Formula
This baby food is a follow-up formula for babies aged 6 months and older. It is an organic, pure food based on the baby’s age and extensively tested for safety. It contains a large number of high-quality, well-balanced, and essential nutrients.
Lebenswert is produced in Germany by the Holle Company that has been producing organic food since 1933.
Step by Step Preparation of Lebenswert Stage 2
Baby formula preparation can be a daunting task for new parents. You would think there is a lot of work and preparation to do, but there is not. Follow these steps and you will be good to go.
It comes with scoop recommendations on the lid of the box in every individual unit. This scoop recommendation, however, should be always followed by parents and caregivers. Parents and caregivers may not realize that they could inadvertently overdose or underdose their baby by not following the recommended quantity.
Step I
Sterilize the utensils that you are going to use to prepare the baby formula. This includes your feeding bottle with its nipple, ring, and cap.
At this stage, the feeding bottle should be sterilized not only because babies of this age are more prone to infections but also because it is only in this way that you can maintain the hygiene standards through the entire preparation procedure.
Wash your hands; you don’t want to pass germs to the formula when preparing it.
Step 2
Boil water that you will use to mix with theLebenswert stage 2 baby formula. Avoid using alkaline, microwaved, repeatedly boiled water, carbonated, or artificially softened water.
These types of water could contain impurities. These impurities can cause gastrointestinal tract issues, such as diarrhea or constipation.
Let the Water Cool Down
Let the water cool to a temperature of122 F / 50 C. Why should you let the water first cool down? - To avoid burning your baby when feeding him or her.
Step 3
To prepare an appropriate amount of formula for your baby, add the required amount of water to the bottle first, and then add several scoops of Stage II Formula Powder-refer to the feeding guide or the table below.
For 155 ml of water, add 5 scoops. For 190 ml of water-add 6 scoops and for 220 ml of water-add 7 scoops of baby formula.

Stage 4
Close the feeding bottle and shake gently until all the powder has dissolved. Shaking the formula ensures proper mixing and that the nutrients are properly digested by your baby. Protein, carbohydrates, and fats each dissolve at different rates. When you shake a baby food bottle, you make sure the contents mix together correctly.
Be careful - the formula is hot immediately after preparation. You can cool it down by placing it in cold water. Always check the temperature before feeding and make sure the temperature is98.6 F / 37 C.
Stage 5
The formula is ready to feed to your darling baby.
Other Points to Consider when Preparing Lebenswert Stage 2 Baby Formula
Follow Instructions as Given
Lebenswert Stage 2 baby formula is a follow-up on Lebenswert Stage 1 baby formula. It requires some more elaborate preparation. I believe in the importance of following instructions when preparing a baby formula.
If you do not follow them, there could be serious consequences for your children like the risk of diarrhea and malnutrition. Be aware of the right temperature at which you should heat the milk plus give the right scoops.
Do not mix with other Liquids
Many parents ruin their baby’s health because they add juice, water, and other liquids to prepare baby formula. Lebenswert Stage 2 is a completely balanced meal with carbohydrates, protein, vitamins, and minerals. You should not mix it with other liquids.
Your baby is used to breast milk or formula; that´s why using starter food will harm his intestines in most cases and led to diarrhea.
Do not add Extra Scoops
Like I discussed before, follow the instructions given on the formula. The preparation instructions of the powder recommended on the box are designed to prevent babies from having discomfort in their digestive tract, but some parents have reported that their baby still experienced pain and gassiness after only a few days.
These parents had added extra scoops of powder thinking it would save time and energy, but in reality, too much powder can cause unnecessary pain for the baby as too much can result in discomfort for a baby’s digestive tract.
Always consult with your baby’s pediatrician
It is very important to talk to the pediatrician of your baby first before attempting to prepare formula especially if your child is less than a few weeks old.
Your baby’s pediatrician will be able to give you useful information when it comes to how often your child consumes their food, how much they consume, and if they are gaining weight well.
Preparing formula with boiled water
Organic baby formulas are very accurate in their description of the importance of boiling the water to ensure that all germs are killed when you make up the formula. No matter where you get your water from, you should always boil it before use.
It is the same case with washing your hands before preparing food for your baby. Hand washing is very important for health. It reduces the risk of spreading infections, and it has been shown that it also reduces the incidence of allergies and other illnesses in babies (such as diarrhea). Research tells us that handwashing with soap and water is far more effective in reducing illness than using a waterless alcohol-based hand sanitizer.
