Loulouka Stage 1 vs Stage 2 vs Stage 3-Main Differences
Loulouka stage 1 vs Stage 2 vs Stage 3have differences that all come down to age groups that they cater to plus nutritional ingredients. All stages have 1 primary ingredient; Swiss whole organic milk.
Maltodextrin
Maltodextrin is a complex carbohydrate that is added to baby formulas as a source of energy. It is derived from either corn or wheat sources.
This ingredient is added because infants normally have problems digesting starches. The enzymes that are needed to break them down are not fully developed. Maltodextrin is easily digested and absorbed by the intestines, giving babies more energy in order to grow.
Maltodextrin is not present in Stage 1 of Loulouka baby formula but is present in their other stages; stages 2 and 3.
Iron
All babies need iron to grow and develop normally. Unlike adults, babies do not have their own storage of iron and are therefore highly dependent on iron from their diets.
Iron is required by many of our body's cells for proper functioning but is particularly important for infants and growing children due to its role in erythropoiesis; the formation of hemoglobin and red blood cell precursors.
All stages have iron though it is higher in stages 2 and 3. Stages 1 have 0.7 mg iron while stages 2 and 3 have 1 mg iron.
